How did you come up with your screen name?

When I read through some of the posts, I feel like I'm "perched" wherever I am just watching and seeing what people are up to-------kind of like our chickens all lined up on the perch in their run. They seem to love to watch us play with our kids outside, and our roo sits on his perch and watches for me to come to the back door or window. Then he crows, of course.

I was thinking about a name having to do with chickens of course, and florida, and the ocean.... and all I could think about was a HORRIBLE jessica simpson reference where she asks if "chicken of the sea is chicken". Funny at the time... I am so ashamed of myself.

[Stinky Puddle Ranch]

This is a fun Lil' thread.... I adore the stories behind the names/nics!

Ours is the name of our Ranch, "Stinky Puddle Ranch".
The first year here on our land we had a super drought summer...
and one whiff of the South winds from the summer wafting across our Pond
it was too obvious what we needed to name our Ranch. "Whew" it was pretty bad.

And out came "Stinky Puddle Ranch".

... between the clay mud in the pond, the dry air and such, it was inevitable that summer.
