How did you convince your spouses/ roommates?

My husband was the one who decided to get some chickens. I'm the one who takes care of them.

You have to ask!!!

We already order chickens for the kids to show, though in the past they've stayed out at DH's grandma's house because we lived in town. This year I decided that we'd order a bunch and keep them all to raise the kids' chickens next year, sell some eggs and babies( to help pay for feed). We did have to make a "deal" in order for me to get my pens built the way I want them but once I pointed out that they'd cost the same to feed as our dogs and we'd actually get something back, he didn't have a leg to stand on. Of course they were already ordered so it wouldn't have done him any good.

I do as I please most of the time anyway, so this was nothing new to him.
