How Did You Discover BYC?

On another forum. One of the ladies there is starting a coop and was telling us about it and gave us the link to this site so those of us that wanted to learn more could join!
 
DH did a Google search and *poof* here we are!!

I found out about BYC from Hollowenna!! I already had chickens for about a year and she had put some seramas on a web site for free. My hubby saw her add and told me about it. When we met she told me about the site and I have been a loyal fallower ever since. Jenn
 
Always had an idea that chickens in our yard would be fun... Hubby always said no. Then, earlier this year, I was at a scrapbooking party and looked out the sliding glass door and saw a chicken on the hostesses back step!! I knew then that I had to have some chickens! Hubby finally caved and said yes. Started researching the care of chickens on Google and found this site! Wonderful people here!!!

There was an add in the paper for a bird swap meet and I tried google for more about it before we drove there and found this site where people were talking about that meet. I've been here since. LOL

hat was back when the OTHER BYC was the only one around. This one hadn't gotten going yet. Now the tide has turned...
 
Mine is sort of weird. Anytime I typed in a certain breed or such in our starware or google search engine trying to get info, the first site in the results was backyardchickens, it was quite a nuisance!! So eventually I clicked on it, checked it out, joined, and have been here ever since!! I love it!!! No exactly love at first sight, but it works!!!!!
