How did your Auto pop door work over the Winter ?

I know you are asking tigger19687, but you question is such a tempting low hanging fruit, I just cant hold myself back answering.:highfive:
My Ador1 is pictured in post#2. It is surface mount. No rails or anything of such to install as in other doors. Takes 9 small screws to hold in place. 10. minute job unless you have friends over and are convincing them to get chickens like you have,,,,,,:gig Job could stretch to 2 hours and case of cooling beverage consumption.
The 12 foot cord (optional)is a remote eye if your door is in really deep shade or installed inside coop where it can not see daylight.
You can purchase the door, and when it arrives, you can fine tune its location onto your coop. You may also decide you need it inside rather than outside. At that point you would need the 12 foot sensor. It also comes in a 4 foot length.
It almost sounds like I'm a Ador salesperson. :gig Trust me, I'm not, but VERY SATISFIED with my door.
Thank you!

@Soon2BChixMom LOVE my Ador1.
Ditto on what Cavemanrich says. Mine took about 1/2 hr to put up because I had to keep shooing out the hens from my work area.

Get the door and make your hole when it comes.
I already had a sliding door so I had to take out the slide and door. Then put the Ador up, BUT, My 'frame on my coop was not straight so I had to have the bottom corner screw not fully screwed tight. If I had it would be a bent frame and not open/close .

Just make sure that the wall the Ador is on is flush, flat and straight.

Mine is installed INDOOR the coop, so the 12 foot sensor is what I needed since it is darker in my coop. I might have gotten away with the 4 foot but I would rather have the extra feet just in case things change. My shed is in the shade in day/afternoon, sun in the morning.

Great. Thanks!
I was hoping the 12' sensor was for a remote control. "Alexa, close the chicken coop door!" :gig
JK! I don't have Alexa or anything else like that, but it would add a new dimension to their advertising! :lol:

Chicken Guard (Extreme model) purchased on amazon, used inside the coop. No issues at all. After a year, the clock was about 10 minutes off but its easy to change the time when changing the battery.
