I've got three broodies right now. I want to hatch eggs from one particular hen. How do I collect the eggs I want them to set? How long can I gather them? What temp should I store them?

Eggs should be collected every day from every nest even if a hen is on it. If I get eggs from under a broody hen that were layed that day---I Do Not use that egg for the batch I am collecting for a broody unless I know it was just layed---I usually check for layed eggs under the broody hens several times a day to start. I put the eggs pointed end down in cartons in the coolest place in my AC house, 2 or 3 times a day I tilt the whole carton of eggs----I start by placing one end on a empty egg carton, then the next time I place the other end of the carton on a egg carton---several times a day. I Do Not turn the cartons upside down then right side up. I have collected and set eggs up to 2 weeks but rather not go over 10 days.
