Haha, she'll accept any quail. We had another quail earlier and she loved the other one to bits. She preened her feathers a lot, but the other one had Ulcerative Enteritis, easily spreadable disease and we gave it back. We treated her and she pulled through.Until you can figure something else out, maybe you can try putting a small mirror in the cage with her. Its not a perfect fix, but it might help.
Also know that when you add new quail into the mix they can sometimes fight & that could be an enormous disaster. IMO being alone is better than the possibility of being constantly attacked.

\get fertilized quail eggs and incubate them then take one of your quails eggs and replace it with the newborn chick
