This just breaks my heart so much. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.That's not too many.
Just be sure they aren't so crunched together to cause over heating. Preferably tall enough to stand up in. But if not, then do what you need to short term and let them out as soon as it's safe to do so.
Use boxes with holes punched in. Dog crates, plastic totes with holes.. basically anything you can use AND fit in your vehicle.
Adding your general location might help folks make their best suggestion possible at a glance.

Do you already have a plan where to go?
I know some folks who can't get the animals in their car have simply turned them loose verses leaving locked in. Hopefully you won't face that sort of decision.
I don't get news, so hadn't realized how bad it is this year so far.
