How do I fix this paint mistake?

P.S. The diagonal roost is cute but most of it is not far enough away from the wall. The chickens that don't sit right in the middle of it will poop on your nice white walls. A cecal poop can be especially dramatic, running down the whole height, down to the floor. It's darker in color, too, and harder to clean off once it dries.

It's posts like this is why we need a chicken pooping emoji, lol.

It's a chicken coop.

Once the birds have been in there for a couple weeks the paint will be coated in feather dander and dust from the bedding and you won't notice the color.

Charlotte I think it is great. The polyurethane does yellow unless it's the water based kind. The fact that it's gloss will probably help it shed off dust and stuck on poop. The smell will go away.
I painted my roost also, it does help some I wish I'd put 4 coats on instead of 2! That stuff is sticky no matter what. But when you clean it will at least be sanitized more than nothing.

How is the coop ventilation? It sounds like you sealed it to be airtight.

That's a good question.
@charlotte-and-the-bees will there be more venting around the roof line?
