My ducks scratch me on my arms and she i go to school everyone assumes that I cut myself! I don't obviusly! So how do I tell people that my ducks are just scratching me? And make them believe it? There is this one guy who really won't believe me and I don't want to be ciewed as someone who inflicts self harm on themselves.

I hear you with the scratches. Whenever I pick up my muscovies I know I'm gonna get it, lol. Unfortunately there's not really anything you can do to convince someone who won't believe you short of bringing in a video of your ducks scratching you. That's just how some people are. If he's giving you a hard time tell a teacher or another adult that he is bothering you and saying these things so that they can talk to him about it.

Yeah it wasn't just him. So many people think it. But I will try to either tell the teacher or just try to ignore him and know the story that is true and right. Because I know I don't cut myself so what would it matter if other people thought I did. As long as I know the truth!!!:)

I don't know what that guy's deal is, but next timehe gives you grief invite him to your house. A few knocks by a duck oughta change his tune!

Take your little ducks to school on show and tell day. Let your fellow students hold them and make sure to bring extra band aids. Seeing is believing.

You could try wearing a long sleeved shirt when you play with your ducks.

Just roll your eyes, and say< "seriously? I raise/have ducks, they have toenails...duh, don't live in a fluffy girl bubble..." I am a grandmother...but , it just sounds like naive people with limited information. ....If you want to prove it , take a closeup of your ducks feet and toes ... I bruise easy, just little bumps, all my life, I always have half a dozen on me, as a child I remember them saying "how did you get all those brusies on your shins...?"duh...."I don't know, playing" (this was 50-60's before the cutting fad). My mother also brusied easy, my daughter and one son does too. One day I was at the dr. and he said ," you have a bruise"....I burst out laughing.... "no my husband doesn't beat me, I am like, half hemophiliac ...if I don't have a half dozen bruises on me ,it's unusual., been this way all my life.... He then looked at my skin and said, "oh, you are missing a fat layer under your skin..."(you can easily see my veins and arteries). Which may also be why heat doesn't bother me and I freeze before anyone else...
I have gotten scratches from working with raspberries, fencing, my ducks and geese, cutting privetts and brush.....if anyone says anything , I just say ...."I have a farm, animals and I work outside a lot"
