Hiya Brenda - I've read a few things that say castor oil is a safe groundhog deterrent. Saw one testimonial that said to use one part castor oil to 10 parts water ....Also read some testimonials that mint is effective. Ammonia soaked rags as well. Mint would probably be more pleasant for the humans in your house than ammonia! I haven't tried any of these things personally so the info is second hand but hopefully is sound....JJ
