How do i get rid of it...*pics*

We had one that did that for a few days and then we found it dead. Removed it from the yard and it was practically skeletal. Looked good but was very sick. Same thing could be for this one. I don't think it not having ruffled feathers should rule anything out.

I went back out with half a mouse my cat left on the porch and tossed it at it, it ate it started cooing at me!
This thing had to of been a pet...

Oh thats not comforting, I hope its not contagious to my hens!

There are people in MA who do falconry - one comes to the NAS swap in Westford. Maybe it's a youngster that got away from it's handler? Kind of looks to be a young sharpshinned hawk by the size.

Hopefully F&W can help you.

It does look like both sets of wings are clipped which would be pretty pointless. when clipping wings, you only clip one to throw it off balance.. clipping both would have little to no effect.. so he'd still be able to fly if both were clipped

IDK about contagious. I was very insistent about no access to my flock. I have shade screens and they go all the way to the ground. Runs are covered, etc. The runs have no access from the outside in all honesty.
