How do i get rid of it...*pics*

No, the flight feathers are there. I hope you can get someone to remove it. The ones in my yard are not so friendly, and once they figure out your yard is an all-you-can-eat buffet, it will be hard to get rid of them. Good luck!
 
These pests have discovered I have chickens and we have seen two so far around our acerage. Hawks are very common in Iowa, but generally not sitting in a tree above your head, let alone letting you get that close.
Unfortunately, (In Iowa, anyway) it is illegal to "dispose" of them.
I do have a GREAT story from a couple days ago. I have 5 baby chicks and our resident hawk (looks just like the one in your pictures) swooped down and snatched one up. It was about ten feet in the air with the baby sqealing in it's clutches when my peahen flew up and attacked the hawk in the air. It dropped the baby and flew back up in the tree! My 13 yr old daughter witnessed the entire thing.
My advice-- get some peafowl!!

If you do decide to pick it up and put in a box or something to take to a rehabber, watch out for the feet! Raptors rarely try to bite you, but they can clutch you to the bone with those feet. Throw a towel over him and then as you pick him up lay another thickly rolled towel where he can clutch it like a perch. That will protect you from his claws.
 
I think it was someone's pet or something because it cooed when you threw it a mouse. Maybe someone got it for falconry. I wonder if they would clip wings till it is trained and will return to owner.

Ok, I got ahold of someone, because im trained to handle wildlife they are asking me to catch it, *Pulls out kitten net...hmm not big enough...*
Anyway, it dont see it at the moment, but im going to leave scraps of chicken on top of the fence where I saw it last and then wait...
If it comes ill try and nab it, if not, well then perhaps it went home?
This is so bazaar...
