How do I keep quail chicks from running over eachother?

I had four quail hatch and in the brooder. One of my chicks that were three days old fell asleep on its back and one of its siblings came and ran over it, killing the poor thing. I want to prevent this from happening again so I wanted to separate them but I don't have enough room for separate brooder boxes and they would get lonely and not be able to keep each other warm. What should I do?

Quail chicks are actually quite durable. I, very much, doubt the chick died from having its sibling run over it. Sleeping on their back for any length of time is not a normal behavior for quail; I suspect the chick was sick.

Oh ok. Do you know what It could have been? It seemed perfectly healthy. I just assumed it was trampled or bullied because there was a small bald spot on its chest and it died on its back.

Watch to see if the other chicks are picking at each other. If blood is spilled the chicks will accelerate their behavior. Should this happen replace the bulb with a red one so everything looks red. As to the chick that died, the possibilities are numerous.
