How do I keep the run dry

I thought they don’t need water at night

They don't need water at night but they need it in the day and I imagine if it is that cold at night it is also well below freezing in the daytime when they do need water.

They dont, but they do need water avaliable whenever possible when they're awake during the day

No they do not need water at night. They need water in the day and it must not be frozen.
Also, the word when we all say 'coop' we mean where they sleep. The coop is the little house with the roosting bar and the nest box and ventilation where they sleep at night.

Right now its night time so im unable to take pics but I seriously dont understand why your trying to hide the fact that the OP is treating her chickens HORRIBLY !!!!!!!!!

How exactly am I trying to hide anything? I suggest you read my replies in this and other threads. I offered suggestions, all you have done was pass judgement and you're actually being nasty.

I don't think anyone thinks OP's setup is good. But we are trying to get them to understand how to make it better.

And if s/he had the ability to fix some things in this setup, it would be a cool setup. This is 3 birds. Not 30. And they free range. So whatevs.
