How do I keep those irritating nuisance crows out of the run?

On one hand, we don't have problems with snakes, coyotes, raccoons and the like but living in our rural green-belt village in the north yorkshire dales we are plagued by CROWS!

They drive me insane! They eat the chicken's food in the run (whilst the ladies look idly on aarghh!) and have now taken to feeding from the feeders - I can't win.

And what worries me is what happens when (and if) our broody hatches her chicks in 3 weeks? What can I do to stop the crows killing them or taking off with them when we're not around?? Help!

Just shoot up in the air to scare them off if you have a rifle

Unfortunately its obvious...fence. Crows have been known to eat chicks and weaker animals smaller then themselves, like birds nests. So now we see the down side of them, the upside is that they will force owls, hawks and snakes away from your girls, but as you see, there is a price.

Wish I could! Not sure if it's legal to shoot them here (still trying to find out) but believe me I'd stay up from dawn till dusk with a gun if I could.

Just worries me what to do when we at work...............? Place netting across top of fencing to stop them dropping into run??

Yeah see what you mean...... like I said I think crows will be their only threat but I HATE them! Thank goodness we don't have many predators but these ugly black nuisances just won't give up, if you threw a piece of bread on the lawn there would be 10 crows in the garden seconds later aaaargh!
