How do I line this coop?

So I just got my gorgeous new deep-litter coop (by The Original Chicken Man - Washington State legend) delivered on Friday. I’ve coated the whole interior with water based glass spar urethane. Planning on painting the outside.
But I had been planning on lining the floor and a foot up the walls with sheet vinyl flooring. The problem is, there are these exposed beams on the inside making things hard.
Should I just put vinyl between the beams? Just put it on the floor? Try to put vinyl on the beams? Staple flexible, thick sheet plastic (like you’d find in a crawl space) all around the area? Just paint it? A few more coats of spr urethane? Something else?

also, do I paint it lavender to match the house? Some other cool color? Leave it natural?

Heeeelp!! Thanks!

I had used vinyl in a coop and didn’t care for the results. It cracked and developed holes. I think stuff got underneath making it weak. Maybe it was just too cheap a brand. I know some people swear by theirs. When I built my new coop I decided to paint the floor and 1 foot up the walls with Blackjack 57. It took a lot of stirring as I scraped the bottom of the bucket making sure it was thoroughly mixed smooth. I used an old broom to apply the paint, let it cure about a week, 10 days, then a second coat. I remember it was a couple of weeks or so letting it completely dry. It was totally worth all the trouble and time.

And the black jack 57 is totally chicken safe?
Far as we all can tell (obviously it's not the intended use, it's for roofing and waterproofing foundations). I think there's someone on here with Black Jack going on 10+ years. My coop is 3 years old and the Black Jack still looks unscuffed so no issue with the chickens picking at it.

Are you using Deep Litter -- a moist, actively-composting system -- or Deep Bedding -- a dry system?

Deep Litter is difficult to do on anything other than a dirt floor. Not impossible, but difficult. One of the problems with Deep Litter on wood is that the composting action eats into the construction wood.

Deep Bedding, however, is perfectly fine on bare wood without any coating whatsoever. https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/using-deep-bedding-in-a-small-coop.76343/

As for paint, do you want it to stand out or blend in?

I'm very boring. I use barn paint and like the traditional red -- but that would not be good next to your lovely, lavender house. :D

I would just line the floor.
Ditto Dat!
ETA: Attach trim to the walls to pin down the edges of the vinyl rather than gluing it to the floor.
Then if it does fail. it will be much easier to replace.

Yes, I splurged and got a heavy duty foam backed vinyl.
I tested them by bending a corner over, most cracked, the foam backed did not.
It's been 7 years and it's still in good shape.

x2 on the Black Jack 57
I wonder if the BJ57 will stick to the urethane?

Lots of good suggestions about how to surface your coop floor, but I just want to add how much I like the Original Chicken Man!
When I first got into chickens in 2011, I bought my first three pullets from him, and ended up spending the whole afternoon talking horses, admiring his beautiful Palomino stallion and some of the other horses being trained at his place, gossiping about local horse people we both knew, and learning a lot from him about chicken care and coop building.

deep bedding!

I can’t decide if I want the coop to stand out or not! Maybe stand out? A little funky? I love the lavender but not EVERYTHING in life needs to match my house… I guess… ha
