It is a Little Giant 9200. Yes vent plugs are out. Is there anything else you'd try? What kind of incubator is it? Make and model?
Do you have the vent plugs out?

It is a Little Giant 9200 - still 62% this morningWhat kind of incubator?
I did the salt test last night and it read 70% after 8 hours. So this means my humidity is even higher than my monitor says...do you have any other recommendations to lower it?I would definitely get another hygrometer and test it for accuracy. Look up “hygrometer salt test”. It’s a simple scientific test to verify the accuracy.
But no matter the number, keep an eye on your air cells and see how they grow. If they look super small on day 7, there are a couple other things you can try.
Thank you! What are the other things to try?

No fan unfortunately. We posted at the same time.
Does that one have a fan or no?
I am in Nebraska and there is a huge storm moving through, so that may not be helpful. I am running a de humidifier and put more paper towels in this morning. Hoping it doesnt affect the eggs terribly!!Wow, 62 is crazy with it being inside. It’s super humid here, but without water, mine still only run around 30%.
You could try misting the eggs once a day. I know it sounds backwards, but just a very fine mist, and as it evaporates, it actually draws more moisture from inside out. Although, at 60%, I’m not sure how well it will evaporate.
Another thing is removing the bloom from the egg by gently rubbing them with a slightly dampened cloth or sponge. The bloom holds moisture in, which is usually beneficial, but backwards in your case.
I’d still get a new hygrometer before trying anything else. LGs are famous for the meters being wrong.![]()
