so my egg is hatching but it looks dry and he has been stuck with the same hole since 10am its 6pm now so is there a way to make the egg a little more wet

Take a spray bottle that mists and spritz a little mist on him or wet a paper towel and wrap it around the egg, making sure not to cover up his pip hole. This adds moisture that the egg lacks. He may be shrink wrapped, which is caused by lack of humidity or moisture. Can you post a picture?

If the membrane is drying out you could use Vaseline. I talked to my chicks tried to motivate them to hatch (seemed to work for me got them peeping and kicking around).

That's a good sign, the chirping. Absolutely add the moisture as suggested above, immediately, and see if you have any way to measure the humidity. Steady, high humidity is vital for successful egg hatching.

I think it will hatch soon. Mine took a bit, looked just like that from 10 am it hatched a little after 5 pm. it hatched all at once after it sat with this all day. I talked to it alot though (i can be worrisome :duc)

Looks like it is a little shrink wrapped. Peel the membrane off the chick just a little. Is it hard and dry? It should hatch fine, but humidity is VITAL to a successful hatch. Try adding moisture in one of the ways suggested above. :)
