How do I tame my chicks??!!

I had a breakthrough with the tameness of my chicks last night. One of them got brave enough to step onto my palm and sit for a while. I slowly lifted her out of the brooder and after a few minutes of looking at me she decided it was safe to take a little nap in my hand. The others are getting more used to me and will come running over to me whenever I come into the room.

Congrats! Its always a joy when chicks decide that your hand is not really that scary! I still get excited when my chicks hop right into my hand and look at me with curiosity.

AWWWW! They are so cute!

One of my 1 week old SLW's (she always comes right up) is getting the hang of the command "up". We just went the food lure route (feed in hand, she hops up to get it, command follows). Seems like it'll be time to break out the clicker soon :)

Our 1 week BAlorp ("Pancake") is still the biggest baby ever. It used to be if we put in new feed, she screamed and hid. If we opened the brooder, she screamed and hid. If one of her siblings bumped into her, she screamed and hid. Now she just darts away and watches from a distance, before creeping over and watching from behind things. She's getting better, but until then she's a little stalker :D
