Yes and no. I see turkey vultures at my house all the time by themselves (actually, almost every day).

Hawks are almost always alone, but turkey vultures can be too.

This is an older thread but still pertinent. We have both hawks and vultures. Here are some vultures. I know it's not a good picture.

I've noticed that vulture wings seem to be shaped like a narrow rectangle extending from the body. Hawks are more "triangular?
