How do I trap a bobcat?

Isn't the age old answer- "Very carefully"?

Fish might work, I aint never tried it, I usually either cut 'em up for fish bait or eat 'em... I'll try it sometime though. And, no doubt you'll catch every coon, opossum, skunk, etc before ya get that bobcat, always seems to work that way! LOL I caught my neighbors barn cats the other night, caught 'em off of chicken strips, if that helps ya any.

It is hard to catch fox and bobcat in a cage trap. They are very smart animals, although my neighbor has a big cage trap he has caught red fox in by baiting it with a whole chicken.

I have trapped many bobcats with box style traps . Bait with fresh bait, whole chicken , squirrel or rabbit. I use road kill often. Hang by the feet in the rear of the trap. Remember cats
hunt mostly by sight, must be visible.

That works but you have to see it first. I hear it and my cat carrying on then my cat walks out injured.
