HI!! New to this website and don't really know how to "Post a thread" I saw this button at the bottom of New Member introductions and clicked on it. When I post a thread does that mean I ask for help with something? Sorry, Pretty clueless here. If you would please respond and teach me how to use this website that would be really kind:] [ I'm having a chicken problem & don't know where to ask for advice]

Thank you!!!!!!!

Hi,

I don't know if this is the right way, but I would type your question/or problem in the search bar at top of the web page (kinda like a Yahoo search). You can usually find a lot of good info there. You can also click on one of the threads that come up and post your question there if you can't find the answer. Hope this helps!

There are multiple sub-forums within the forum. There is the New Member Introductions, forums pertaining to raising chicks, raising meaties, incubating and hatching etc. If you find the category that is closest to the question you have, go to it and then look for the "Post New Thread" button. It will be in the same location on the page in each category. Hope this makes sense.

You've already gotten some good advice. If you have any questions still feel free to PM me.

thanks - just saw your post, that's how much I don't know about using this. I'm a brand new Chicken lover. Bought a small but cute used coop and my husband was NOT thrilled and fought me on this for years - ha, Now that I took the first step he is so gung ho! Our first set of chicks are only 3 weeks old and it is Montana so we will not be setting them out till about May 20 - but it gives us time to get the pen and coop area designed as best we can for fun and safety!

I'm the black sheep in a high tech family, so I know how daunting it can be. Somehow I have survived and even started a few threads lately so there is hope.

well one way is if you look at your private messages it should have a (welcome to BYC) email and that should have a few helpful thing for you to use the website.
best wishes to you and your and flock,
