Garden paradise is where Mahonri lives.

Rain rain rain is where I live. But I do love the rain.

OP, to answer your question, my family and I wear muck boots outside around the house. When we have visitors, we just hope and pray it doesn't get on their shoes as they come up to the front.

I have several pair of shoes on my back porch, BUT I also have several jackets. I go check on the chickens, hold a couple, put an egg in the pocket, toss some pine shaving into the coop etc. I am sure to have a mess somewhere!

I have that trouble. The best way that we have found so far is to take off your shoes outside and put the shows inside near the door. Don't leave them outside, though! Whenever I leave them outside, they always mysteriously have poops on them.

Garden clogs....worn barefooted in summer and with socks in winter. Have a shed next to chicken house/yard and change shoes in shed. Just have to remember to shake clogs out before putting your feet in them to rule out mice or scorpions. Clogs coated with poo but it doesn't matter because they stay out there. Works great for me.

i use skater shoes, so it's not that bad... just scrape them on a piece of wood laying there...

but that's me... LOL... the kids and dogs always get something inside the house... and right now i have 3 puppies... chicken poop is the least of our worries...

I do the exact same thing! One pair of flip flops and one pair of crocs stay at the back door just for checking chickens, getting eggs, feeding...ANYTHING chicken related better have chicken shoes!! LOL even my kids use them so they don't get their shoes dirty and don't bring in any poo...
Works great!
