How do you avoid tracking chicken poo all through your house?

what about people who live in mobile home? no porch no mud room no garage dont use back door what do you do? if i left my shoes out side the would get lost in the snow bank and the 3 feet of snow we have.

i have chore boots that i keep outside spring summer and fall and bring inside during the winter, only to the tiled part if the entry way, and if their really poopy i wash them off using my frost free water hydrant

I use Crocs, too. I have a designated yellow pair and don't wear them inside. You can wash them easily and they can go in the top rack of your dishwasher once in awhile (not with the dishes of course)

Take them off as soon as you step inside the door and put a boot tray nearby to store them on. I assume you probably already have an entry rug or smooth floor surface of some kind to minimize the mess from even just normal dirt that is tracked in? So just sweep and mop that little area often.

We just take 'em off as soon as we come in the door -- whether it's the front door, back door, whatever.

Guess I never gave it much thought, that's just what most people do here.
