How do you breed chickens?

I second that. Do you really know they aren't? If they really aren't, then either it's time for a butt fluff trim or your rooster is really a hen, LOL. It's happened with those dang Silkies before-someone thinking they had a rooster.....till roo laid an egg.

well even if i was missing the action.. Why dont I have any fertile eggs?

I just gotta ask... How do you know they aren't fertile?

crack em open and look at the egg.. you'll see a white spot in the middle of the orange (yolk), Called a bullseye, or incubate them and wait to see if they ever developed

PS.. thats how you know they ARE

You may have to trim the fluff around the vents on both the roo and the hens, if it's so thick it's preventing good contact.

But I'd crack open a few eggs, and look at the white spot. (On the surface of the yolk, all eggs have one. If you don't see it, turn the yolk over) Is it just a tiny dot, or does it have a distinct ring around it? It the ring is visible, it's fertile.

I hate to say this, but...you're not looking for a blood spot are you? Those have nothing to do with fertility, it's just blood.
