I had my first rooster, grown when I bought him, but not used to women yet, for FIVE MONTHS before I saw one fertile egg. He was just so laid back and gentlemanly, he didn't get it right for a very long time. My Blue Orps were ones I had to trim fluff on before I could get any fertile eggs.
