Much depends on what is causing the stress as to how best to get rid of it I think. Chainsaws and sledge hammers work amazingly well for those things that momentarily annoy you. You can fill in your own list on the things that go bump during the course of the day. I also mean to cut wood and build a fence rather than use heavy machinery on the source of the problems, that route leads to more stress in terms of being locked up.
The stress that occurs kind of on its own agenda; i.e. job worries, relationships, money, lack of rock and roll and other perceived necessities are deeper and don't go away with sweat. I pray and remember that Jesus said, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Mt 6:34 NIV.. Does prayer to Christ work, absolutely. The best way after that is to focus on the needs of others and I don't mean my kid needs a job or my wife needs to make me happy, although that does kind of stress me a bit.
