I have so many questions, and I have been searching and searching for answers on here and elsewhere to no avail!
I am starting to breed seramas and I have been seeing "Silkied Frizzled" Serama breeder birds for sale. How is that achieved? They say that if you mate one of those birds with a silkie, half will be silkies and half will be silkied frizzles, but how do you CREATE one of those birds to begin with? Frizzle is dominant and silkie is recessive, so breeding a silkie with a frizzle will just give you another frizzle . . . or maybe 50% smooth feather, right? So is it just a matter of crossing the frizzle offspring back to the silkie parent over and over until you get a silkie frizzle? Also, is a bird that has both silkie and frizzle the same thing as a "Sizzle"?
I hope somebody can help me understand this, I can't seem to find the answer anywhere!
