How do you get response from chicken breeders????

We live on the back side of a huge swamp and have a creek run threw it all too, so the name just kinda came natural , raise bantams and live in a boggy oak bottom..

I have had similar issues finding breeding stock pullets in general. I am not looking for hatchery stock. I have no problem paying for them. I know what it costs to hatch them financially, mentally and buying 12 eggs only to get a poor hatch you have to sell them for more to cover your costs. I am currently looking for some larger girls that don't fly over 6ft. My daughter is in FFA and she wants a hen to raise/show/breed. I am going to go to the fayette county fair in hopes of finding and meeting new folks. If anyone is going let me know, I would love to say hi
