how do you get your chickens to eat bugs

My chickens don't like watermelon like everyone swears chickens like who woulda knew

Yeah mine don't like lettuce or bread products and so many people say those are amongst their flock's favorites.

I will tap the ground near where the bug is and they will come investigate and eat then.

My chickens will eat pretty much anything at this point. But when they were younger they were very wary, and often scared of any new food. My dominant rooster eventually convinced everybody that if I toss it in their run, it's most likely yummy

It isn't crazy unusual for a chicken to be picky.
I have a hen that wont eat superworms only mealworms.
Everybody else goes nuts, she'll walk away.
They have their own minds for sure.
