How do you know if a goat is pregnant?

Those that know more than I say #1 is likely bred (which I think you knew) and #2 is likely open...

I felt babies!

I think. It could have been gas, but this was on the non rumen side, and the rumen was rumbling...differently, if that makes any sense.

These was definitely some puching and poking. I know I felt it in Lil-Bit (she's so faaaaaat), but I think I felt something in Rosie too!

They've both been eaating hay like crazy, and lil Bit will not shut up! She baaaas constantly if I'm in the barn or with them. I was flooring the new kidding stall, and of course she was right there, nibbling my hair, my clothes, the wood...

Sigh.

I'm so happy.

Of course, who knows what these babies will look like. One set will be 3/4 pygmy, 1/4 spanish and the other will be 1/4 pygmy, 1/4 spanish, 1/4 nubian, 1/4 alpine.

Feeling kids in utero is unmistakeable. I can usually feel them in my does in the last month or so and on the right side. Sometimes I can even tell what I'm feeling (head, leg, hoof).

This felt pointy on Rosie, so maybe a little hoof?

On little bit, it was more of a movement, like swimming.

Ok, so I've started checking Ligaments now that we are a month out so I know what's normal and what's now.

LB, which we all agree is pregnant, still has little pencils.

Rosie, which is still in the air, is completely mushy. She hadn't pee'd recently either.

What does it all mean!

She's ravenous, milk is bagging, possible movement, and smushy ligs.

But

Her butt is not near as poofy as LB.

I'm so confused.

some or all goats come in when they have contact with a billie, not every month like other animals. :_)
so yours could very well be and prob are bred!

As much as I want her to be, I dont think Rosie is pregnant. Maybe her ligaments are just naturally mushy.

About your cough, i live where it is really dry and dusty. The vet said it was an allergy to dust. But for my peace of mind i asked. If you have her in for the cough get her BoCe shot too.
