How do you manage Bobwhites?

It is extremely hard to find rare colors of bobwhites. If I could only get a hold of some.....

The last time I was there he had a pen of the Whites. I need to quit messing around with my meat rabbit project and build a pen and go get some of them

I know how you feel, I got so caught up in my coturnix I didn't hatch enough bobwhites.

Well I'm finally getting a steady flow of eggs from my Coturnix, and I'm overrun with rabbits now. Those whites were so cool looking so I just need to get off my butt and make it happen

Do you just breed meat rabbits or do you breed other kinds?

My 11 yr old daughter is working on a pet rabbit project. I picked up some Lionheads for her to work with and should have a the first litter in a month

I breed Holland Lops and I have a pair of minis.

Cool... if she sticks with and puts forth the effort, I'll gladly help her invest in another breed. She says she wants to try to show but we'll see. Before her mom and I split, we used to show dogs. So the kids like the showing but are on the lazy side on getting to that point...

I show quite a bit. I have a holland doe with 2 legs. She has only been to a few shows so I need to get her to the fair. Showing takes up a lot of time and if you want to do good it costs quite a bit. Have you ever seen someone who shows rabbits use anything but Purina?
