How do you mark chickens

Ridgerunner, there are going to a gazillion chickens with painted toenails and it's gonna be all your fault.

At least no one mentioned lipstick.

No, the lipstick is to use in and around the vent to see which chicken laid that egg. The egg will have streaks on it. But I am not going to explain to my wife why I am putting lipstick on a chicken's vent.

Careful, this is a family forum.

Just make sure your wife doesn't use the same tube of lipstick

haha. I was going to paint the chick's toe nails, but then thouht the zipties

would better. Just remember not to tie them TO tight aroud the legs. You have to

cut them off somtime.

Painted nails and lipstick on the wrong end. Not gonna touch that one. Nope.

Since the combs of mine are light colored, I considered using food coloring on them. Ok yes a silly idea, but for that very reason I might just try it

Imagine seeing chicks with blue and green combs! I love it already!

It shouldn't hurt them, right?
