So I know this is an old post, but thought I would try anyways... I am on lockdown, and having a hard time getting my humidity above 50%... it's a homemade incubator, I have had a tray in the bottom (not sure how much its helping) and a small plastic container hanging on the side through until now, it has held at 30-35% days 1-18... now I added a large rectangle Ziploc container (above where the chicks will) should be lots of water surface area.... plus a washcloth...my problem is I have no more room to put more containers, without risking drowning... I also have a CPU fan, should that be on during hatch? Or is it drying it out? Ventilation is limited to cracks between the siding boards, as I have tried to seal everything else up for humidity...should be plenty though. How long should I wait, to "let the humidity build" I keep opening it to try and add more water, but I'm worried I'm disturbing it too much, but also don't want to leave it be! Ugh, stressful, lol.
