How do you resist Feed store chicks

I don't always have to have high quality birds but I want decent quality even for just layers. Most in store chicks here come from the Hatcheries with the poorest looking birds.
Another reason is the lack of selection. Most have all the over popular breeds. For the price I could order my own selection of more unique breeds from better hatcheries.
Or maybe it all comes down to me hatching more chicks at home then the farm stores get in.

Have you ever considered seeing if the feedstores wanted to sell your chicks?

Lol. But I don't want to get rid of any of my chicks.
For real though I'm not NPIP and would have to be to deal with a business here.

TSC = no. They mislabel and mix them up too much.

Other feed stores are hard to say no to. I plan to pick some up this spring. Last time I did, I got 2 of my favorite hens. I got really lucky choosing 2 Silkie pullets!

Disclaimer: I just love chickens. All of them. I'm not that picky because I'm not breeding.
