How do you resist Feed store chicks

The siren song of chicks at TSC... oh, how to resist!?!

I need want some more pullets so that I can have more eggs to sell/barter with the neighbors. I have fallen IN LOVE with blue and lavender colors, because of the pictures I see here on BYC. I would love to hatch out a couple of my own eggs (but what to do with the cockerels...).

If TSC has any BBS Australorp or Orpington pullets next April, I am soooo in trouble...

Me and my dad went to TSC last year on August 20th to get "feed" and we only had 1 hen because we can't have roosters so she was by herself and when we saw the chicks I was like: "You know the coop can fit 6 chickens right?" and he said "Go buy 4 of them "he chose 1 and I chose 3, Fast forward October the hen was being too mean and she was a meat chicken so we gave her away and 1 chick died at 2 weeks with unknown causes and the other died at 4 weeks because of a raccon now I have two chicks left and they are now 22 weeks old and they lay me eggs.

Well, I always have to take a look. What if there is a breed I want. I have 1 rir, 2 barred rock, 3(started with 5 ) lavender orphingtons and a black for tsc... but 4 ee last year one didn't make it the other 3 where Cockrels... we Shall see what this year brings...

That's how I am too. With my luck, I wouldn't look and there would be something like Araucanas or Ayam Ketwa (not really, but that's what runs through my head and makes me look anyhow)

Just grab some lavender orpington's from Meyer! They're not too expensive and such sweet and smart girls. Of course they aren't good enough for a breeding program, but neither are TSCs. Also, Meyer's Blue oprs are huge, shiny, and gorgeous. A black splash feather here and there, but amazing birds. Mine was stunning! But also mentally...umm..special.. :duc
