How Do You Say The Word, Our

When I was in Iowa, I heard the word creek called a, crick. I say, creek with a long e not a short, i.


That is because "creek" is the sound you hear when you step on a loose floorboard. Crick is you swim in on hot summer days.

uh uh. Crick is what you get when you have a sore neck.

By the way, you Iowa person, pop is the sound a balloon makes when stuck with a pin. Soda is the sweet, bubbly concoction that you drink. I lived in Iowa for three years so I know all about pop and soda.

Actually, Iowa was full of incredibly sweet people. I liked it there.

I say it "R" the ou silent. This is R car.

I pronounce it like "hour". I grew up in Key West. Lots of Yankee influence. I have lived in north Ga for almost 20 years now. Still say hour.

I was born and raised in central Ohio and I pronounce it "are". That may be because my mom was raised in Kentucky and West Virginia and my grandmother grew up in Kentucky as well. I also say crick and warsh instead of wash.

i say our like owww er almost sounds like hour lol ive lived in mississippi south carolina virginia and florida and when i went to all of them i didnt sound like any of them
