How Do You Say The Word, Our

With you on that one "bubba" .... does that mean friend for male or female?

generally male

This far south "Bubba" is considered a real first name.
Might just be a nickname at first, but it develops into some redneck guy's first name for all non-legal purposes, and sometimes the legal ones! lol
Generally Bubba is a kinda blundering overweight redneck who is loved by all, and he has a tendency to drop in right at supper time

I also know a lot of southerners who use the name Bubba in place of 'brother'. Once they have a second child, they start speaking to the baby about her 'Bubba."

"Honey, is that your big Bubba?"

Have any of you seen it used this way?

Ok now you have me fascinated...... so is the "gravy" a bread sauce with bits of sausage in.... and can I have the recipe for those "breakfast Bisquits"

This is how I make the gravy. In the same skillet that you browned your sausage, add some flour, stir that a bit and then add milk. Once it is thickened to your liking, add salt and pepper. You make the gravy in a similar manner that you make a white sauce.

I'd give you a recipe for biscuits but I just don't have the touch to make good ones. Alton Brown as a good recipe though. You can find him on food network.

One of my favorite neighbors is an old lady that grew up in the sticks of Georgia. I swear she has her own language- if she doesn't know a proper word she makes one up. She's very supersticious, and terrified of snakes, and can handle a shotgun like nobody's business. LOVE her!
I take her recycleables to the drop off center- and she always has dozens of buttermilk jugs

I can only hope to be in that good of shape at 71.

I my not be a fan of gravy- but I'll take biscuits & sorghum any day!

My step-dad (rip) grew up in the mountains of PA. Every time he gave directions, your destination was "in behint" something.
