how do you tell the difference between a dominique and a barred rock

Well, I've finally found the answer to a question I've had for a while, AND confirmed that my Meyer Hatchery dominiques are actually dominiques! Thanks for the great info.

I'm a newbie, only been raising chickens about 2 years. We have a little dominique that we've had about a year and I'm pretty sure that she's not laying. Any ideas as to why?
