when i first brought my black bantam cochin and WC bantam polish pullets outside for a little sunlight and venturing i got to see just how much they had imprinted on me. they followed me within a few feet throughout my garden and backyard that whole time. never letting me out of their sight!
now they are a few months older and they still come running for me when i go into the coop! the polish has to jump up to my shoulder from the floor. the cochin sits at my foot and coos till i pick her up for a cuddle. my other birds get jealous and try to climb on me too.
the cochin pullet-Luna, has been enjoying her cockerel-Sunny since they have been together these last few months. i had to move them closer to the house for the winter months and since i am residential and don't want to loose my crowing roo i had sound proofed the garage coop (but he is still a little loud!) he gets put into a dog crate with a blanket over it for the night, i tend to find her hiding under the corner of the blanket right by his door! though she doesn't care much for his advances yet, she is very loyal to him.
