This site has given me friends.

ditto, it gives me a way to interact with a community that cares about each other, a few you may not care for, but at least no bullies, nasty people, and insults. It's a positive place.

Ditto to all! Before I had chickens I did a TON of research here, and as I planned my coop I posted lots of questions on the coop-building area of the forum. It was like having hundreds of knowledgeable aunts, uncles, and neighbors helping me with my coop.

Since then, I've also been playing in the social part of the forum (obviously! :0), and I've found help and reassurance with things other than chickens.

It is because of BYC that I have chickens. I registered on the site years before I was able to get them. I read for hours on end and was finally convinced that I could have chickens even living in the woods. Since then, of course, it is my chicken information site. Rarely a day goes by that I don't visit here and read.
