How has my rooster died

Hi

Im sort of new to owning chickens so i need help ive just gone out to lock up my chickens and ive found my rooster dead on the floor in the run with his feathers all over but he has no mark on him ive checked him theres no blood no sign of any animals getting in so im wondering if anyone knows or has an idea to how he couldve died.

Can you get pictures? If the feathers are fluffy and they're in piles its probably a hawk. If wet and slobbery then some sort of mammal.

I cant get pictures at the moment and i live in the uk so its dark here now and dont get any bird of prey where i am and i dont really get foxes where i am aswell but it looks like hes plucked his feathers and died theres no sign of an attack
