Got 26 first week of March. Several did not make it - died within first 24 hours. That was the period that everyone was talking about AE at M McM. So I was sad to lose the sickly ones I lost, but to me that is just reality. They took responsibility, were great about it on the phone, wanted to know exactly who died, etc., even offered, unasked, to replace them or credit me, to which I said no, frankly.
I still love their chicks, love their service, love their quirky, fun catalog, love their knowlege and exerience, and I gather they are the backbone of their community in Iowa.
And every single chicken in my backyard - the 14 week olds and the one year olds, all Murray McMurray birds, are thriving, beautiful specimens of their breeds.
Anyway, so glad to see someone just asking about this, and people responding honestly with their own experiences , rather than the slam that can sometimes come all too easily when chatting . . .
with contented chirpy clucks to you all,
