How is somebody to loose weight..

I have lived in Ky and visit family and friends deep down in the appalachians .Gator and turtle i nothing compared to what we eat there.. clue ... it has a bushy tail and lives in trees.
 
You are preaching to the choir on that one...I still have memories of my uncle "yanking the pajamas off" as he put it. That was Southern Appalachian for skinning the squirrel. BLECK!! Fried squirrel and squirrel gravy...those things are tree rats in my book. I never ate 'em but was at the table when they were served.

Cut out all the junk foods and soda's...then eat off a smaller plate than the rest of your family....you still get to eat what they eat..but far less of it........the weight will come off and stay off if you continue with a smaller plate = smaller portions...less calories... works for me.... I must be a size 10 in USA dress sizes then.....
 
Cutting carbs doesn't work for everyone. I lost 68 pounds after my Dr. discovered I couldn't process fats and protiens anymore.

Yours is a one in a million case. For the rest of the population, cutting carbs just returns you to a diet that humans actually evolved to eat. All those cereals, grains and starches are VERY new to the human diet.

And yes, avoid high fructose corn syrup like the plague. Add trans fats to that list too.

As for calorie restriction, I tried that for years. All it did was make me weak and slow down my already slow metabolism. I eat more calories now on low carb and lose weight. Before I restricted calories and exercised like a mad woman and never lost a single pound.​
