How is the lavender colored chicken created

Does anybody else here think that the coloration is "just plain light gray"? (I think I'm too simple to notice subtleties...)

i would like to see the adult birds of both sexes, ours hatch with a bluish grey dusting to the top of a yellowish white down, turn a slatey grey as they begin to feather with an eggshell white type color and light bluish grey lacing, as they mature the lacing turn a kacki brown / dun color and continues to hackles of the hen. The Males end up with a similar body color and kacki / dun Hackle saddle and wing bow.
I shoul add that they sun bleach to white with very minimal appearance of brassing. They are interesting to say the least.

I'm confused? Lavender (self-blue) already has a description in both APA and ABA standards, and this is not it.

Maybe is talking about Platinum Blue...?

the Bird posted as Platinum has a very similar appearance to soem OE we have been working with, My curiosity is in the final appearance of the Platinum male and female. The initial OE were the reult of breeding of breeding two "black" birds of an unknown breeding back ground and therefore the real root of thier heritage is an unknown. I am very curious as to the Platinum as it was an intential creation and if it shares very similar characteristics may shed some light on these as well.

The best way to get a lavender chicken is to breed a blue chicken to a red chicken and then you breed those chicks to a white chicken
