How is the lavender colored chicken created

Young Pullet showing that Platinum or light steeley grey colro to feather and lacing:

that Steeley grey or Platinum Blue what ever a person call it turns kacki / Dun as they mature the color change starts around 14-15 weeks and by the time they are 24 weeks it is complete. they are very interesting to say the least.

that would be Ron, he is a goo dguy, he choose Opal, I do not know that it will stand once submitted for recognition as Opal is a color variety of other fowl that does not meet this description. So who knows what it will be at the end of teh day.

we aquired the first birds he let go of from a very good friend of his, the year after in 06, We we able to aquire all of his birds and offspring, and worked from there on seperate paths but headed the same direction. Ron continued trying to figure out where they came from we just got them breeding true and then crossed to white for type. No other crosses just focused on a good OE type. Ron and I have been in contact for a few years about the birds and common problems we have seen and what worked to get past some of them. I figure they are his birds and he has teh right to call them and do as he sees fit. I refer everyone to him and do not sell any and allow him that priviledge as well. we have added some of Ron's more recent birds over the years for different reasons and with mixed results but that is the joy of a new variety.
