peafowl actually have a breeding season and don't lay all year like chickens do. we lost 3 hens last year - 2 confirmed dead, one we just never saw again. so now we have 2 hens, 4 2-year-old boys, 2 3-year+ boys, one juvenile male and one juvenile female. so our ratios are pretty off.Hopefully all is ok and she brings home some little ones for you.
I live in Georgia so I have no idea on that.@jwehl once we find a little larger piece of property I would love to add some Guineas to our mix. Peacocks would be super cool as they are a very beautiful bird. How are they in the cooler weather?
