How is your flock today?

It's official, I just placed my order for 15 straight run Black Australorps chicks this morning to be sent out on 03/07/22 from Ideal hatchery in Texas.
Hope all goes smooth and they all arrive alive and healthy. :love :fl
I started out with that breed. The hen's are known to be broody, but watch out for mean human aggressive rooster's.

I was under the impression this breed of rooster was known to be quiet and docile. This is kind of why I went with this dual purpose breed because of all the great reviews I have read about them. Hell I am no expert.

I had 2 of those boy's and had to cull them both. The one's that I had before came from my local feed store who ordered them from Privettes hatchery over in New Mexico.

I sure hope I don't have that same luck or I will have to go shopping again for another breed of docile Chook!

I am sure of one thing, either way it works out, they will still be tasty on the BBQ grill! LOL

No wife in this equation, only fine Bacon and Ham Sandwiches! LMAO :gig :lau
I guess you'll need something to go with all of those breakfast eggs, and if those porker's are very greasy, you can always render the fat to cook other thing's with later.
