How is your flock today?

Yeah! That is a big selling point!

 I really want some! I'll have to plant the idea in DH's mind...
Yes, that's why I have been selling off my other member's of the flock, and still have 4 more younger ones' that started laying egg's, and 2 more that should start the egg laying in a month. Then the coop and run will only be holding the Bielefelder's that I will start breeding. Oh, and I need to do something about the Colored Dorking rooster. I might have to eat him since no one has spoken for him yet.

Got the dumb fowl pox running through my young ones. Out of 6 I think I may have 2 cockerels.. again. So that would be a total of 6 cockerels and 5 pullets from this hatchery where all but one were supposed to be pullets. I have such bad boy luck... or is that good boy luck?
We had some pretty wild weather for the new year. Did not stop anyone from setting off illegal fireworks so I headed up with 6 kitties and 1 dog during the storm. DH stayed down the mountain with MIL where she did ok. Amazing.
Better go put the crew to bed.
Hau'oli makahiki hou all! 🥂🎉

What hatchery do you use over there?

Hello, How is everyone and their flocks doing this New Year? My apologizes for my absence  It's been crazy busy around our place lately and the rainy wet weather these last few days hasn't help either! :barnie

Our mixed flock is doing fine, the ducks are the ones who really love the wet weather, go figure! LOL Momma Betty and her three baby's are all doing great, they are thriving and growing like weeds. Betty is an awesome momma and is keeping everyone feed and happy. It's funny to watch all three of her baby's run around and play with each other, it's like they all have springs on the bottoms of their feet. LOL

Prior to the extreme weather change we had two weeks of above normal temperatures. Our big drakes must have thought it was spring time so they had been loving on the girls a bit more then normal, so I decided to collect a few fertile eggs and try out my new NR 360.

I had hoped to wait till spring time before trying to incubate any ducklings, but I figured I best test out that new 360 to make sure it was in working condition in case I needed to return it. So far the machine seems to be checking out and working fine, so I set 18 duck eggs yesterday. :love My hatch date is February 2nd, Ground Hogs Day! LOL :gig

Not that I didn't already have enough on my plate for things to do, this little guy decided to show up at our door step the other day all wet and hungry. We have been trying to find out who he belongs to, but no luck yet. I can't imagine the owner isn't out frantically looking for him, because if he is a pure breed ST. Bernard, they are a high dollar puppy.

Oh my gosh! You found my puppy! I was looking for him everywhere!!! ♡♡♡ 🥰
Seriously, what a cutie and puppy seems to fit. I will keep my fingers crossed for the happiest of endings for all :fl:fl:fl

Glad you made your way out of the muck and confusion to pop in. Was wondering how your flock and herd were doing lol. Sounds like all is great thanks to yours and Stacie's hard work.

Most exciting about the duck eggs! Do keep us posted... with photos when they hatch?!! Baby ducks are the cutest and it's probably time you entered another contest anyways. 😄

@416bigbore I'm glad that thing's seem to be going good for you and the animal's. That's a cute pup, and I hope that you get to keep him.

Your hatch due date is ground hog day? When I read that, it reminded me of that movie that Tom Hank's was in where he had to live that day over and over again until he got thing's right.
