How jumbo is a "jumbo" coturnix?

Here's the biggest claim I could find at present on Ebay. Is 15/16 ounces possible?

I love this line from the description," Our breeders are in the 15/16 oz range, and have huge breasts". That there is borderline quail porn.

I added a new ebayer I will never buy from again...poor packing, poor customer service, and she tried to sue my farm for leaving negative feedback

I love the little fellas as well!

I took off my eye patch and stored my peg leg about 2 years ago.

If you forget about the size/color etc. of coturnix, they are "The closest thing to instant gratification in the game bird world!"...Hope I quoted you properly JJ.

Choosing between "Jumbo or regular"...which is a relative therm, is a matter of what you are looking for in your coturnix flock. ANY SIZE BIRD IS FINE FOR MEAT PRODUCTION! Everything but the XLDx strain reaches their top weight around 8-10 weeks. It could be 7 oz., or more, but your feed cost should be the same per oz. of bird. No coturnix strain is more effective at turning GBS into meat!!!!!!!! XLDx strain....not withstanding!

For egg production only, and for the folks that don't actually eat their birds, then I recommend the little browns. They are good for meat production too, it just takes a few more to make a tasty plate.
